NPP-UK Organiser Aspirant Oheneba Boakye Outlines Vision to Grow Party Across UK

Aspirant for the position of Branch Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the United Kingdom, Thomas Oheneba Boakye, has unveiled a comprehensive plan aimed at strengthening the party’s organisational structures and expanding its membership base across the UK.

In a manifesto outlining his vision for the role, Mr. Boakye emphasised that a vibrant and effective political party must be built on strong membership, active participation and effective grassroots organisation.

“A strong political party is built on strong membership, active participation, and effective organisation. For NPP-UK to remain vibrant, relevant, and influential across the diaspora, we must deliberately focus on expanding and energising our membership base,” he stated.
As part of his strategy, Mr. Boakye announced plans to introduce “Operation Increase Chapter Membership (OICM)”, a targeted initiative designed to strengthen existing party chapters and boost active participation among members across the United Kingdom.

“My goal is clear: we must grow not only in numbers, but also in participation, influence and grassroots mobilisation,” he said.
According to him, the initiative will prioritise providing strong support for Chapter Executives by equipping them with the necessary tools, resources and strategic guidance to conduct effective membership drives and strengthen their operational capacity.

“We will equip Chapter Executives with the tools and support they need to drive membership growth and build stronger, more active chapters across the United Kingdom,” Mr. Boakye noted.

The NPP-UK organiser hopeful also stressed the importance of building stronger partnerships with influential Ghanaian community associations across the UK. He said engaging organisations such as Bantama Unity Club, Nananom Asanteman UK, and other community networks would help broaden the party’s reach within the Ghanaian diaspora.

“By engaging influential community networks, we can broaden our reach and connect the party more effectively with organised Ghanaian communities across the UK,” he explained.

Mr. Boakye further highlighted the need to revitalise the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) within UK universities, describing students as a critical pillar for the long-term growth of the party.

“We will work closely with the Youth Wing to restructure and revitalise TESCON structures within UK universities, ensuring that the energy, ideas and leadership potential of Ghanaian students contribute meaningfully to the future of NPP-UK,” he said.

Beyond these initiatives, Mr. Boakye proposed a nationwide outreach strategy that will involve engaging churches, professional bodies, youth groups, marketplaces and community organisations across the United Kingdom.

He explained that such engagements will help expand membership across all chapters, reconnect with disengaged supporters, attract professionals and first-time participants, and strengthen grassroots mobilisation.

“NPP-UK must not be limited to meeting rooms alone. Our presence must be felt in the everyday spaces where our people live, work, worship and do business,” he emphasised.
