Chairman of the Road Asset Preservation and Maintenance Committee, Ing. Janis Asare Bediako, has called for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to harness the vast expertise of its diaspora members by establishing policy working groups within NPP-USA to support the party’s national policy agenda ahead of the 2028 general elections.
According to him, the diaspora is home to an extraordinary pool of talent, professional expertise, and experience that can make meaningful contributions to strengthening policy development and refining campaign messaging to help secure victory for the NPP’s 2028 presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Ing. Bediako explained that the proposed policy working groups should mirror the national party’s policy structure, enabling diaspora professionals to serve as a direct resource and strategic partner to the party’s policy team by providing innovative ideas, technical expertise, and practical solutions.
He noted that such collaboration would not only enrich the party’s policy direction but also elevate the profile of NPP-USA members within the national party while ensuring that the contributions of the diaspora are recognized and valued.
“By actively participating in shaping policy and strategy, we can create greater opportunities for our members to serve when we return to government,” he stated.
Ing. Bediako described the initiative as both an opportunity to serve the party and a platform to demonstrate the immense talent available within the Ghanaian diaspora.
He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to represent NPP-USA and the broader diaspora community in advancing the party’s vision and contributing to its electoral success in 2028.
