Kwaku Ampratwum Djarbeng has formally declared his candidacy for the position of Youth Organizer of the NPP UK Branch, articulating an ambitious vision anchored on strategic youth mobilisation, disciplined grassroots engagement, and a renewed drive toward the party’s 2028 electoral comeback.
Addressing members of the branch at the Luton Chapter meeting , Mr. Djarbeng expressed appreciation for the platform to share his aspirations, underscoring what he described as a pivotal moment for the New Patriotic Party both within the diaspora and at home.
“Fellow members of the NPP UK branch, thank you for this opportunity to speak,” he began. “I am contesting for the position of Youth Organizer because I believe our party requires young, energetic leaders equipped with the requisite skills, commitment, and foresight to propel us into the future.”
He maintained that the party’s pathway to reclaiming governance in 2028 would depend largely on its ability to inspire and mobilise a new generation of supporters, while simultaneously reconnecting with undecided voters whose allegiance may determine the outcome of the next general election.
“The NPP stands at a critical moment in its history,” Mr. Djarbeng asserted. “To win back governance in 2028, we must deliberately mobilise a new generation of supporters and re-engage voters who remain undecided. Our success will hinge on disciplined and faithful members who are prepared to work diligently for the party and for Ghana.”
Highlighting his personal credentials, he pointed to what he described as a demonstrable track record of diligence, initiative, and resourcefulness. According to him, his networks and access to strategic resources position him uniquely to expand the party’s reach among floating voters within the UK and beyond.
“I have cultivated networks and secured resources that I intend to deploy strategically in persuading floating voters to align with the NPP,” he stated. “Through targeted outreach, consistent engagement, and passionate advocacy, we can rebuild our support base and attract those who are searching for credible leadership.”
Drawing a sharp distinction between the NPP and its political opponents, Mr. Djarbeng argued that the party must differentiate itself not merely through rhetoric, but through demonstrable action and principled engagement.
“I firmly believe the NPP is fundamentally distinct from the NDC,” he said. “Where others may rely on rhetoric and unrealistic promises, we must demonstrate through tangible action and honest engagement that we are the party capable of delivering meaningful and sustainable progress.”
He concluded his address with a direct appeal to the conscience of party members, urging them to entrust him with the mandate to revitalise the youth wing and strengthen the branch’s organisational capacity.
“I humbly seek your mandate as Youth Organizer for the NPP UK branch,” Mr. Djarbeng declared. “With your support, I will work wholeheartedly to reposition our youth front in the UK and contribute significantly to the broader national effort to return the NPP to governance in 2028.”
His declaration adds to the growing momentum within the NPP UK Branch as members prepare to elect new executives tasked with steering the party’s affairs in the diaspora and reinforcing its readiness for the next electoral cycle.
