Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, has projected a decisive victory for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries slated for Saturday, January 31, 2026.
According to Dankwah, Dr. Bawumia is expected to win in 14 out of the 16 regions, including a commanding performance in the Ashanti Region, the party’s traditional stronghold.
Speaking on Channel One TV’s The Point of View with Bernard Avle on Wednesday, January 28, Dankwah said the data from Global InfoAnalytics clearly points to a one-touch victory for the Vice President.
“Yes, [Bawumia will win in 14 regions out of 16 regions],” he stated.
Dankwah explained that all indicators from the firm’s analysis align in one direction. “All the areas we have looked at are pointing in one direction, and that direction is that Bawumia will win this Saturday’s election one-touch,” he said.
He revealed that Global InfoAnalytics’ projection places Dr. Bawumia’s expected vote share between 54 and 60 per cent, after accounting for a three per cent margin of error.
“Based on our model, his lowest score will be 54 percent, which is the 57 percent we are giving him minus the three percent margin of error, or he could get up to 60 percent,” Dankwah explained.
The pollster attributed the confidence in the forecast to the consistency and stability of the data. “I am very confident in Bawumia’s numbers because they are more stable in terms of variability. There is no noise in the data,” he added.
Dankwah noted that while other contenders, including Dr. Bryan Acheampong and Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, could improve their showing, the way their support is split among them remains unpredictable.
The NPP 2026 Presidential Primaries Prediction Survey was conducted between January 20 and January 23, 2026, using a nationwide sample size of 10,133 respondents. The survey covered all 16 regions and 272 constituencies across the country.
