Chairman Isaac Appiah Kubi, aspiring Chairman of the NPP UK Branch, has shared his vision with party faithful at the Luton Chapter meeting, outlining a five-point agenda aimed at strengthening the branch and empowering members.
Addressing the patriots, Chairman Appiah Kubi explained that his decision to contest the upcoming election is anchored on five key priorities: unity, structure, financial independence, brotherhood welfare, and preparedness.
“Why am I going for the election? Number one is unity. Number two, structure; number three, financial independence; number four, brother welfare; and number five, our preparedness,” he stated.
According to him, unity remains the bedrock upon which the branch can build a formidable and forward-looking structure. He stressed that without unity, progress within the party would be difficult to achieve.
“Why do you need unity? Because unity is the place before the branch moves forward. To put all these people together, it tells you that this individual can be my doctor, my lawyer, my brother,” he explained, emphasizing the importance of solidarity among members.
Chairman Appiah Kubi also raised concerns about what he described as the limited number of party members who rise to occupy top positions such as CEOs, ministers, or party leaders. He noted that the statistics show only a small percentage of members advance to such roles, a situation he believes must change.
“If you look at the percentage and the statistics of people that are part of this party that go up to become CEOs, ministers or even to lead the party, it is really small. So we need to create a system where everybody feels that they also have a chance to be part,” he said.
As part of his proposed reforms, he unveiled what he termed the “Patriot Guarantee Law,” an initiative he believes will enhance members’ access to opportunities and contribute significantly to the branch’s financial independence.
“I’m coming out with what I call Patriot Guarantee Law. From what I have realized from most of the members, it is going to give a lot of access and help our financial independence,” he noted.
He reiterated his commitment to building a well-structured, united, and financially empowered NPP UK Branch that prioritizes the welfare of its members and positions itself strongly for future political engagements.
The meeting in Luton formed part of his broader engagement with chapters across the UK as he seeks the mandate to lead the branch.
