Hon. Nii Ashley-Moore, Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on aspirants in the ongoing Ayawaso East NDC primary to focus their campaigns on the party’s manifesto and its track record of achievements.
Speaking to journalists, Hon. Ashley-Moore stated, “Any candidate who wins this primary must base their campaign on the NDC’s manifesto and the accomplishments of our party. The people of Ayawaso East deserve leadership that reflects the legacy of our party and its commitment to development.”
He pointed to the notable contributions of past and present NDC leaders, saying, “From the leadership of our Founding Father, former President Jerry John Rawlings, to President Evans Atta Mills, the late MP for Ayawaso East, and now President John Dramani Mahama, the achievements of the NDC cannot be overemphasized. Parliamentary candidates must remind the people of these successes as they campaign.”
Hon. Ashley-Moore also assured that all aspirants are well-qualified. “All five aspiring candidates have been thoroughly vetted and have gone through the selection process in line with the party’s constitution. Each of them has the potential to serve the people of Ayawaso East effectively,” he said.
The Ayawaso East NDC primary is ongoing as party members prepare to elect their parliamentary candidate ahead of the general elections.
