Dr. Asiedu Outlines Four-Point Plan to Strengthen NPP-UK, Seeks Mandate as First Vice Chairman

Dr. Emmanuel Mensah Asiedu, a First Vice Chairman hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the United Kingdom, has unveiled a comprehensive four-point agenda aimed at strengthening the party’s diaspora branch and positioning it to effectively support the NPP’s quest to return to power in the 2028 general elections.

Aspiring NPP UK Branch 1st Vice Chairman shares visions to the patriots in Luton Chapter’s meeting.

Speaking to the members Dr. Asiedu appealed to delegates and party faithful to entrust him with the mandate, assuring them of dedicated leadership anchored on unity, strategic mobilisation, and inclusive participation.

“I humbly appeal to members of our great party to grant me the mandate as First Vice Chairman so that together we can mobilise resources, strengthen our structures, and contribute meaningfully to the NPP’s return to power in 2028,” he stated.

Dr. Asiedu emphasised that the NPP-UK branch remains a critical pillar in supporting the party’s national agenda and must therefore adopt innovative strategies that harness the strength, expertise, and commitment of its members.

According to him, his extensive experience within the party has equipped him with the requisite knowledge and leadership acumen needed to effectively support the chairman and the entire executive team.

“I have had the privilege of serving the party at different levels, and these experiences have prepared me to serve effectively as First Vice Chairman and contribute positively to the advancement of the NPP in the diaspora,” he said.

Central to his campaign is a four-point strategic vision designed to enhance the organisational capacity and welfare of members within the NPP UK branch.

The first pillar focuses on financial mobilisation, which he described as a crucial element in sustaining party activities and strengthening operations.

“Our party must be financially robust in order to effectively carry out its programmes. I intend to champion innovative fundraising initiatives and mobilise resources that will enable the NPP UK branch to operate efficiently and support the party back home,” Dr. Asiedu explained.

The second aspect of his vision is the establishment of a Knowledge Exchange Hub, which will serve as a platform to facilitate professional networking, mentorship, and employment opportunities for members, particularly students and young professionals.

“We must create meaningful opportunities for our young people. Through a knowledge exchange hub, we can connect experienced professionals with students and young members, helping them access job opportunities, mentorship, and scholarships in the United Kingdom,” he noted.

Dr. Asiedu also highlighted the importance of member welfare, proposing the creation of a structured welfare policy to provide support to party members in times of need.

“A strong and resilient political party must demonstrate genuine care for its members. I will work towards establishing a comprehensive welfare system that ensures members receive the necessary support, especially during challenging moments,” he said.

The fourth pillar of his agenda is the promotion of ethical, respectful, and inclusive politics within the NPP UK branch.

He stressed that unity and mutual respect among members are indispensable to the party’s growth and long-term success.

“We must cultivate a culture of ethical politics that embraces every member, irrespective of tribe, background, or status. When we operate with unity and mutual respect, we strengthen our party and make it more formidable,” Dr. Asiedu remarked.

He further pledged to collaborate closely with the branch chairman and other executives to implement policies and programmes that will enhance the party’s organisational strength and effectiveness.

“When entrusted with this responsibility, I will work hand in hand with the chairman and the entire executive team with diligence, transparency, and commitment to move the NPP UK branch to greater heights,” he assured.

Dr. Emmanuel Mensah Asiedu, popularly known as DrEAM, brings a wealth of experience to the contest. Over the years, he has served the party as a Polling Station Executive, Constituency Executive, member of the NPP Eastern Regional Strategic Team, and a founding member of the East London Chapter.

A respected academic and businessman, Dr. Asiedu describes himself as dynamic, fearless, transparent, and people-centred, attributes he believes are essential for driving transformation within the party.

“We cannot continue to do the same things and expect different results. Positive change delivers positive outcomes, and that is the vision I bring to the NPP UK,” he added.
