Kennedy Agyapong Casts Vote, Promises to Unite NPP After Primaries

Flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has expressed optimism that he can bring the party together if declared the winner of the presidential primaries, despite the heated exchanges and tensions that have marked the campaign.

Speaking to journalists in Assin Central shortly before casting his vote, Mr. Agyapong acknowledged that competitive party primaries often generate disagreements. He, however, stressed that such moments should not undermine party unity.

“I don’t see it as a problem. At the end of the day, we will all come together as one party to work. In any contest, things can get tough and certain words may be used that are not pleasant, but that is part of the process. It does not mean anyone should walk away from the party. If I am declared the winner, I believe I will be able to bring everyone together,” he said.

Mr. Agyapong emphasized that party cohesion will be critical to the NPP’s prospects beyond the primaries, urging all aspirants and members to collaborate to strengthen the party and prepare it for future electoral challenges.
